Nigeria’s longest road built by concrete is set to be commissioned in December this year, so says the Project Director of AG-Dangote Construction Company Limited, Olatunbosun O. Kalejaiye.

The 43km  Obajana-Kabba road in Kogi state is an initiative of Africa’s richest man Aliko Dangote in fulfilling the Corporate Social Responsibility (CRS) of Dangote Cement Plc.

According to Project Director Kalejaiye, the road which can last for at least 50 years is already half way completed.

At the onset of the road construction, company chairman Aliko Dangote had said; “We are going to be building concrete roads in the country so that anytime we build a road, we do not have to go back to repair it after the third raining season, but move on and use the resources to address other pressing needs of Nigeria.”
